1. 2008 Board of Governors Election Results:
The certified results of the election were received by the Board.
2. Nomination and Election of the 2008-2009 President of The Missouri Bar:
Mr. W. Edward Reeves nominated Mr. Thomas M. Burke. Messrs. William R. Bay. and Mr. Vincent F. Igoe, Jr. seconded the nomination. There being no further nominations, the nominations were closed and Mr. Burke was elected by acclamation.
At this point, Mr. Burke took the chair.
3. Nomination and Election of the 2008-2009 President-Elect of The Missouri Bar:
Mr. Thomas M. Burke nominated Mr. H. A. “Skip” Walther. Mr. Patrick B. Starke and Ms. Suzanne B. Bradley seconded the nomination. There being no further nominations, the nominations were closed and Mr. Walther was elected by acclamation.
4. Nomination and Election of the 2008-2009 Vice-President of The Missouri Bar:
Mr. P. John Brady nominated Mr. John S. Johnston. Messrs. Thomas J. Casey and Walter R. Simpson seconded the nomination. There being no further nominations, the nominations were closed and Mr. Johnston was elected by acclamation.
5. Caucus and Election of the District Members of the Executive Committee:
At this point, the Board briefly recessed so that members from the three districts of the Court of Appeals could caucus and elect district members to the Executive Committee. The Board reconvened and the following results were announced: Western District — Mr. Patrick B. Starke; Southern District — Ms. Deanna K. Scott; Eastern District — Ms. Carol Chazen Friedman.
There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned.
