Missouri Lawyers Choose Members of 2009-2010 Board of Governors and Young Lawyers' Section Council
JEFFERSON CITY (August 18, 2009) . . . The lawyers of Missouri, voting in districts throughout the state, have elected six new members to the Board of Governors of The Missouri Bar and retained 15 incumbents for new terms. Voting at the same time, members of the state bar’s Young Lawyers’ Section (YLS) chose nine members to that group’s governing Council and re-elected seven more.
New members of the Board of Governors are: Judge Charles Curless of Lamar; Joe P. Rice, III of Cape Girardeau; Genevieve M. Frank of Clayton; and Marie Kenyon, Judge Mark H. Neill and Nancy R. Mogab, all of St. Louis.
The following members of the Board of Governors were re-elected to new two-year terms: Allan D. Seidel of Trenton; Max E. Mitchell of Sedalia; Mark W. Comley of Jefferson City; Douglass F. Noland of Liberty; Erik Bergmanis of Camdenton; Carol Chazen Friedman and Jennifer M. Joyce, both of St. Louis; Judge Richard Bresnahan of Clayton; Wallace S. Squibb of Springfield; Stephen Bough, Walter R. Simpson and Dana Tippin Cutler, all of Kansas City; Eric J. Wulff of St. Charles; Judge Karen King Mitchell of Jefferson City; and Deanna Scott of Springfield.
New members of the Young Lawyers’ Section Council are: Jenny R. Redix, Monika D. Jenkins and Tony R. Miller, all of Kansas City; Betsy Blake of Lee’s Summit; Sander Sowers of Columbia; Timothy F. McCurdy, Annie Brockland and Hollie Birkholz, all of St. Louis; and Austin E. Williamson of Springfield.
Incumbents elected to another term on the Young Lawyers’ Section Council are: Amanda Pennington Ketchum of Kansas City; Craig Moore, Brian J. Massimino, Amy Bender-Levy and Mandy J. Hobson, all of St. Louis; Jason A. Paulsmeyer of Jefferson City; and Andrew S. Lyskowski of Camdenton.
The newly-elected and returning members of both groups will take office at the conclusion of the 2009 Missouri Bar Annual Meeting, scheduled for September 23-25 in St. Louis.
