In addition to outstanding CLE programming, the Annual Meeting offers unmatched networking opportunities and exclusive event opportunities for those attending.
In addition to two casual, relaxed, enjoyable networking receptions (Opening Night and the "Best of Missouri"), attendees can extend the fun mixing and mingling with the YLS, harkening back to law school memories & catching up with old friends at the alumni luncheons and hearing directly from the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court of Missouri at the Opening Luncheon!

After the Best of Missouri Reception, the fun will continue for the young – and the young at heart – with an evening at McGurk’s, an authentic Irish bar set in the midst of St. Louis. Sponsored by the Young Lawyers’ Section, this event is open to all Annual Meeting attendees. They will be enthralled by McGurk’s Irish Pub and Garden, which is known throughout the Midwest for its great Irish music, food, drink, and its 8,000-square-foot outdoor garden, complete with fountain and waterfall. In addition, Irish musicians from such locales at Galway, Dublin, Cork and Derry entertain guests every evening.

While every Annual Meeting includes many memorable moments, few are as anticipated – or as personally and professionally rewarding – as the reunions of alumni from various law schools.
In fact, no event on the Annual Meeting schedule offers as much opportunity to connect with old friends and colleagues and reestablish ties as these luncheons. With a rewarding blend of fond memories, useful information, and multiple networking possibilities, these luncheons are always an Annual Meeting highlight.
Graduates of law schools from across the state and nation will come together at these events to renew ties with old friends, make new acquaintances, relive fond memories, share stories with fellow alumni, and catch up on activities at their alma maters.

The traditional closing event of The Missouri Bar Annual Meeting, this banquet – through its recognition of those who have performed exemplary service – is a testament to the power of the law to bring about justice.
The banquet will feature a number of award presentation recognizing bar members and others for their contributions to the legal profession and the administration of justice. These individuals stand as shining examples for lawyers to emulate in representing their clients and continuing the tradition of public service that is a hallmark of the legal profession in Missouri.
Continuing a longstanding tradition, the banquet will conclude as Missouri Bar President Thomas M. Burke of St. Louis passes the gavel to his successor, H.A. “Skip” Walther of Columbia.
The dinner will be preceded by a reception open to all who plan to attend the dinner. The banquet is the only event on the Annual Meeting schedule that is not included in the meeting registration fee. Tickets to the banquet are available at a cost of $75 per person.
