More on Our Programs
The Advanced GAL Program
The Advanced GAL Program at The Family Law Conference
gives experienced GALs an in-depth look at many of the
specific legal issues they often face. This track of the
conference will address specific areas encountered in your
role as a Guardian ad Litem. It helps to further develop the
skills of attorneys who are already GALs, or for those whose
practices require a thorough understanding of the myriad
issues that come up in cases involving a minor.
Interactive Legislative Workshop
On Thursday, join colleagues for a Legislative Workshop
that includes a legislative and case law update. You will
benefit by:
- Sharing in a summation and discussion of the major
cases decided in the last year affecting family law
- Networking with other individuals representing the
players in Family Court, including parents’ counsel,
Guardians ad Litem, and judges
- Learning the legislative intent behind the statutory
changes
- Discovering how new legislation changes pleadings and
practice
- Exploring new legislation and new solutions
