Maura B. McShane

Background
Judge McShane was appointed circuit judge for St. Louis County in 1994.  Prior to her appointment, she was an assistant prosecutor for St. Louis County for 10 years. Judge McShane received her juris doctorate degree from South Texas College of Law, in Houston Texas, and she received a bachelor of science in physical therapy from St. Louis University.

Discussion 
Judge McShane’s highest score, 4.51, was for demonstrating appropriating demeanor on bench.  She received a 4.11, which was her lowest score, for “rulings on dispositive motions state reasons and consistently apply the substantive law.” 

The committee also considered one of Judge McShane’s written orders, which was well-written and concise.
