Holly Accurso has been working in the legal field for 17 plus years in Kansas City as a paralegal/legal assistant, office manager, and bookkeeper. She joined Eccher Law Group and John Eccher out of St. Louis in July of 2022 and currently works virtually from my home in Kansas City.

Jeff Eastman is a founding member of both the National College for DUI Defense and the DUI Defense Lawyers Association, organizations established to advance the cause of aggressive DUI/DWI defense. He is the recipient of numerous awards and has had the privilege of educating others in effective DWI defense.
John M. Eccher is a criminal defense and civil plaintiff trial attorney, with the majorities of his criminal practice in the area of DWI defense and his civil practice in the areas of employment and civil rights litigation.
Matt Fry is one of Missouri’s top DWI attorneys. He has successfully defended every type of DWI case, including assault, manslaughter, and felony murder. There is no DWI fact pattern Matt has not seen. Outside of DWI offense, Matt is passionate about teaching Trial Advocacy II at SLU Law and running his non-profit, St. Louis Impact.
Hon. Matthew Hamner is Circuit Judge-26th Judicial Circuit. Former Associate Circuit Judge-Camden County. Practiced at Phillips, McElyea, Carpenter & Welch in Camdenton and Rouse Hendricks German May in KC. Law Clerk to Judge Price, Missouri Supreme Court. Undergrad and Law Degrees from MU. Married to Sherrie and has two daughters.
Travis Jones has been an instructor in the law enforcement field for the last 22 years. He has taught in DWI Enforcement and traffic safety related topics. He received a bachelor’s degree and Master of Science degree from Lindenwood University. He is a court recognized expert in the field of drug impairment, alcohol impairment, breath testing for alcohol, radar, and accident reconstruction. Travis is currently the owner of TBJ LLC which conducts training, case reviews, and expert testimony.
Andrew Mishlove is known and respected throughout the United States as an expert in Wisconsin OWI cases. AVVO, an independent lawyer rating service, has rated him as the top Wisconsin OWI/DUI defense lawyer and one of the top DUI attorneys in the United States. Together, Attorneys Mishlove and Lauren Stuckert of Mishlove and Stuckert, Attorneys at Law are Wisconsin’s only board-certified drunk driving defense specialists.
Andrew Mishlove has appeared on Court TV multiple times, weighing in on some of the most high-profile criminal cases in the country. In each of his appearances he provides astute insight into the mindset of defense attorneys and the techniques used by prosecutors. Beyond legal strategies, Mr. Mishlove also notes the human element crucial in every case, breaking down direct and cross-examinations, the interpersonal dynamics within juries, and the procedural nuances of court proceedings that many people miss. Media outlets trust him as an analyst because of his four decades of practicing law. He will bring all of that firsthand legal knowledge to your case.
John F. Newsham was appointed Associate Circuit Judge in March of 2018 by Governor Eric Greitens.
Before his appointment to the bench, Judge Newsham was in private practice for over 33 years.
He currently is the chair of the Supreme Court COMMITTEE ON PRACTICE & PROCEDURE IN MUNICIPAL DIVISION CASES
Travis Noble concentrates in the areas of DWI, federal and state drug charges and other felonies. He served as a police officer from 1985 until 1990 and a narcotics agent from 1990 until 1995. He has instructed in the areas of Narcotics Investigations, Forensics, Criminal Investigations, Police K-9, Standardized Field Sobriety Testing and DWI Investigations. As a result of ten years in law enforcement, he brings a unique outlook and background in the defense of persons charged with crimes. In addition to trying cases throughout the State of Missouri, he has represented defendants in both federal and state courts throughout the United States.
For more than 20 years, Laura O’Sullivan gained extensive trial, appellate, post-conviction, and management experience working with the Missouri State Public Defender (MSPD). In 2011 she became Professor O’Sullivan at the University of Missouri – Kansas City Law School where she taught Wrongful Convictions and investigated cases with students participating in the Wrongful Convictions Clinic. In 2023, Laura joined the Benjamin Law Firm, LLC (owned by TLC grad Kim Benjamin) where Laura serves as Managing Attorney for the firm. In 2022, Laura overcame decades of negative caselaw, successfully argued for expert testimony during a highly contentious Daubert hearing, and presented expert testimony explaining to the jury false confessions. Laura’s trial experience includes acquittals in everything from misdemeanors up to and including murder in the first degree cases.
Martina Peterson is a Kansas City Municipal Court Judge who presides over criminal and traffic cases and the Mental Health Court. She was also a Family Court Commissioner presiding over abuse and neglect, adoption and delinquency cases and the Family Drug Court. She was also a Missouri Assistant Public Defender.
Bogdan Susan is a founder and partner with Holder Susan Slusher Law Firm in Columbia, Missouri. He has made mid-Missouri his home since graduating from Rockhurst High School in Kansas City, Missouri in 1984 to attend the University of Missouri-Columbia.
Mr. Susan is committed to the idea that clients accused of committing crimes not only deserve the best defense possible, but that our freedoms depend on it. He strongly believes that good people make mistakes and that those mistakes should not define a person’s life or prevent them from accomplishing their future goals.
Honorable Janet Sutton was appointed to the Western District Court of Appeals in December of 2021. She served previously as Circuit Judge in the 7th Judicial Circuit in Clay County, Missouri from 2013 to 2021 and as Associate Circuit Judge from 2003 to 2013. She previously served as an Assistant Prosecuting Attorney for Clay County from 1990 to 1999, and as the Chief Assistant Prosecuting Attorney from 1999 to 2003. She was the legal counsel to the Clay County Sheriff’s Office from 1993 to 1999. She worked for the City of Excelsior Springs first as the municipal prosecutor from 1994 to 2000, and then as the municipal judge from 2001 to 2002. She received her undergraduate degree in Communication Studies from UMKC and her law degree in 1990, also from UMKC. Judge Sutton is married and has one son. She lives in Liberty, Missouri.
Denver DUI Attorney Jay Tiftickjian (Tif-Tick-Shun) is a DUI trial lawyer, author, and legal analyst.
Mr. Tiftickjian has received extensive training in breath tests, blood tests, drugged driving evaluations, and field sobriety testing. In addition, he has been called upon multiple times to organize Colorado Criminal Defense Bar seminars specialized to DUI defense. Tiftickjian has attended training through The American Chemical Society, The National College for DUI Defense, and the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers. Mr. Tiftickjian has gone through the same training that police officers do to become certified in instructing and conducting field sobriety tests and breath tests. In addition, he has advanced knowledge in both gas chromatography testing for blood alcohol concentrations, and the operation of the Intoxilyzer 9000, Colorado’s current breath testing machine.
L. Michaelle Tobin is Clinical Professor of Law and Director of the University of Missouri Kansas City Law School's award-winning trial advocacy program. She received her B.A. and her J.D. from the University of Missouri – Columbia, where she was awarded the National Moot Court Prize and the Allen H. Parke Award for Excellence in Trial Advocacy.
Prior to joining the faculty, Professor Tobin was a practicing attorney with nine years at the Missouri State Public Defender’s Office and seven years in private practice. During her career, she has first chaired many jury trials ranging from misdemeanors to murders. She is a graduate of the Trial Lawyers College.
Carl Ward is a nationally recognized DWI trial and appellate attorney who has represented thousands of citizens accused of DWI in nearly 90 Missouri counties. He is a Past President of MACDL, the founder of FUDOR, and current MoBar Governor.
Pam Wilhite is a paralegal at the Missouri State Public Defender- Columbia Trial Office. For the past 16 years Pam has assisted attorneys with driving with intoxicated, driving while suspended/revoked, and leaving the scene of accident cases.
Judge Stanley Williams served as an Associate Circuit Judge in Franklin County from 1996 to 2022. His dockets included criminal, civil, domestic and treatment court. Before taking the bench, he practiced law for 15 years. He is the 2023 recipient of the Benjamin N. Cardozo award from MACDL.
Hon. Gary Witt was appointed to the Missouri Court of Appeals, Western District, in 2010. He was elected as chief judge for a two year term that began July 1, 2022. He received the Appellate Judicial Excellence Award in 2020. He was previously an associate circuit judge in Platte County from 1998 - 2010.
Before his judicial service, Judge Witt served as a state representative from 1991-1996. He was a shareholder with Witt, Hicklin & Witt, PC in Platte City.
Judge Witt earned his undergraduate degree from William Jewell College and his Juris Doctor from University of Missouri-Columbia.
