The Missouri Bar Board of Governors is seeking applications from members of the general public for appointment to serve on the Missouri Lawyer Trust Account Foundation Board of Directors. The Board of Governors will be making an appointment to the committee for a term of three years.  The term of service will begin on January 1, 2027 and end on December 31, 2029.  
 
The Missouri Lawyer Trust Account Foundation collects, manages, and redistributes revenues from interest accrued on lawyer trust accounts. The Missouri Lawyer Trust Account Foundation Board of Directors primary function is to allocate and disburse Foundation assets in the form of grants to qualified applicants, i.e., non-profit entities providing legal services to the poor and improving the administration of justice.

The Board consists of 12 lawyers and one lay member. Board members serve a three-year term, with a maximum of two consecutive terms. The Board meets in person two or three times annually and otherwise conducts business by email or by video conference.

Desired qualifications include:
-Significant non-profit board service
-Familiarity with the mission and work of qualified applicant entities 
-Familiarity with the grant funding process
-Professional experience in financial services or non-profit sector
