Senior Projects Coordinator

Purpose: The Senior Projects Coordinator provides high-level professional and technical support to special committees, and special projects, with a primary focus on the Judicial Performance Review (JPR) Committee. This role serves as the main point of contact for committee leadership, delivering essential administrative, organizational, and logistical support to ensure smooth and effective operations. The position involves frequent interaction with committee members, bar staff, and Missouri lawyers and judges at all levels, and requires adaptability in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. The position also involves collaborating on statewide communications regarding committee work, including website content management and traditional and social media.

This position requires sound judgment, attention to detail, and the ability to anticipate needs. Responsibilities:

  • Serve as committee liaison helping to educate and guide committee members on the committee scope, committee responsibilities, and current processes.
  • Support committee efforts by researching background materials, analyzing information, following up on assigned tasks or decisions, and ensuring key milestones and deliverables are accomplished on time.
  • Coordinate committee and project activities with other departments and staff at the bar.
  • Collaborate on state-wide communications on behalf of committee, including management and upkeep of websites.
  • Prepare, format, and distribute meeting-related documents.
  • Coordinate meeting logistics, including room setup, travel arrangements, and support for both in-person and virtual participation.
  • Provide technical and administrative support for virtual meetings and webinars; serve as staff support for smooth virtual meeting operations.
  • Perform general organizational tasks and adapt to shifting priorities and evolving project needs.
  • Assist management with special projects as requested.
  • Provide occasional after-hours support and travel as needed to support meetings and related activities.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.


Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent required, with at least three years of experience or training in project management, professional support, or communications operations.
  • A graduate degree or relevant graduate coursework may substitute for a portion of the required experience.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with virtual meeting platforms (e.g., Zoom, Cisco WebEx, Microsoft Teams) preferred.
  • Prior experience supporting boards, commissions, committees, or professional associations is highly desirable.
  • Prior experience in project management, or in working with formal project plans, is highly desirable.
  • Prior experience in developing and implementing strategic communications plans is highly desirable.

Physical Requirements:

  • Occasionally lifts and moves equipment and materials weighing up to 30 pounds.
  • Occasionally may require reaching, kneeling, bending, and standing for short periods of time.
  • Limited statewide and overnight travel as required.
