Legal Aid of Western Missouri seeks an experienced attorney to serve as Supervising Attorney for Client Access, the primary point of contact for issues affecting access to our legal services. General responsibilities include identifying and rectifying barriers to accessing legal services at Legal Aid; continually identifying, documenting, and implementing best practices in intake processes and procedures; training intake personnel to ensure the consistency and quality of client intakes across all offices in the organization; directly managing a team of reception and intake specialists at Central Office; ensuring smooth transfer of clients from the initial intake to the case handling team; working with Managing and Supervising Attorneys to identify and implement efficiencies in providing legal services; and assisting the Director of Litigation in identifying and addressing systemic or impact issues affecting clients.

Due to the nature of this position, the Supervising Attorney is expected to work in the office at least four days per week, with the potential to work from home one day per week after an initial training period.

Qualifications:
Licensed to practice law in Missouri; a minimum of two years in the active practice of law with an emphasis in poverty law; sound judgment, attention to detail, and creative problem-solving skills; independent and efficient work style; excellent computer skills; and ability to communicate via phone and in writing.

Salary: $70,000 + DOE.
