The attorney who takes on this role will be responsible for original and creative legal endeavors, including comprehensive research into unique and conflicting legal areas requiring the integration of diverse legal theories in order to anticipate new or emerging developments in the law.

Job Duties:
- Responsible for original and creative legal endeavors, including comprehensive research into unique and conflicting legal areas requiring the integration of diverse legal theories in order to anticipate new or emerging developments in the law.
- Legal matters of the most critical importance are carried out independently to a final conclusion.
- May advise, assist, assign, and review work of legal staff; and may advise and assist elected County officials and management at the highest levels in the formulation or modification of County policies and goals.

Minimum Qualifications:
- Must have a Juris Doctorate from an accredited college or university of law.
- At least one year of responsible experience in municipal, civil or criminal law.
- Must be admitted to The Missouri Bar. 
- Must submit to/pass pre-employment drug screen and background check.
