JOPLIN, MISSOURI


Legal Aid of Western Missouri seeks a full-time staff attorney for its Joplin, Missouri office to provide general legal representation in the areas of domestic, housing, public benefits, consumer, and other areas, as assigned.

The attorney in this position will represent clients in administrative, judicial, and legislative forums, as needed. Legal Aid has offices in Joplin, Warrensburg, St. Joseph and 3 offices in Kansas City, including the Municipal Court office, our West office that handles community development and our Central office.

The qualified candidate must have the following:
• Active Missouri Bar license or pending bar results
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Desire and commitment to assist in the delivery of high-quality legal assistance
• Ability to speak a second language, preferred, but not required
• Courtroom experience, preferred

Salary: $65,000 + DOE
