Responsibilities:
The general purpose of this position is to provide legal support to the internal operations of the firm. Legal Counsel will assist with a variety of legal matters, focusing primarily on software as a service platform, cloud computing, and other emerging technologies and operational contract review and negotiation. Specifically, Legal Counsel will draft, review and negotiate contracts with third party service providers (such as hardware, software and data purchases and license agreements) and vendor consulting agreements, and provide legal analysis and advice in connection with those contracts. This person will also provide advice regarding the interpretation of laws, rulings, and regulations impacting the administrative business matters of the firm. Legal Counsel will report to the Associate General Counsel and will work with external counsel as needed.


Qualifications:
•Juris Doctorate (J.D.) degree with superior academic credentials from an ABA accredited law school
•At least 4 years professional experience in a law-firm or in-house with contract negotiation, general corporate law, or other relevant work experience relating to financial services, technology contracts, financial products and related matters
•Excellent communication (written and verbal) and organizational skills
•Benefits and employment law experience is a plus
•Licensed to practice in Missouri
