Assistant Prosecuting Attorney – Morgan County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office - Lake of the Ozarks

The Morgan County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office seeks a dedicated and motivated full-time Assistant Prosecuting Attorney (APA) to join our team. This position offers an exceptional opportunity to serve the public by prosecuting criminal cases on behalf of the State of Missouri in a fast-paced, trial-oriented environment.

Key Responsibilities:
Case Review & Charging: Evaluate law enforcement referrals and file appropriate criminal charges.
Prosecution & Trial Work: Handle felony and misdemeanor cases from inception to resolution through plea negotiations, bench trials, and jury trials.
Courtroom Advocacy: Appear regularly in court, arguing motions, conducting hearings, and presenting cases at trial.

Preferred Qualifications:
Missouri Bar admission (or pending admission).
Prior prosecution experience is preferred but not required.
