Qualifications:
- Missouri license required
- Additional Illinois license preferred
- 2-5 years’ experience
- Interest and/or experience in education law, employment law, and public sector law
- Exceptional research and writing skills
- Ability to develop and present well-reasoned legal arguments
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Excellent communication skills (both written and oral)
- Aptitude for public speaking
- Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects
- Strong work ethic

Responsibilities:
Associate attorneys at the firm typically engage in the following work:
- Collaborating with partners and senior attorneys on litigation and client counseling matters involving employment matters, investigations, student discipline, special education, and much more
- Problem solving day-to-day issues with public and private education institutions
- Performing legal research
- Drafting pleadings and motions
- Drafting/reviewing/responding to discovery requests
- Responding to administrative agency complaints
- Assist with client training and professional development
