Annual Salary Range: $70,000 to $75,000, commensurate with experience

What you will do:
Legal research
Analyze and summarize evidence
Draft legal memoranda, recommendations, proposed orders, and decisions for Commissioner
Answer legal and procedural questions posed by Commissioners, staff, and the public
Assist with oral arguments
Respond to inquiries from the parties and the public
Assist with fiscal note responses to proposed legislation

All you need for success:

Qualifications
Licensed to practice law in the state of Missouri
Member of The Missouri Bar in good standing
Familiarity with Missouri administrative law and process

Desired Attributes
Prior knowledge of Missouri workers’ compensation and/or unemployment law preferred
Excellent legal research and writing skills
High level of professionalism and good judgment
Trustworthy with confidential information
Effective time management skills and ability to prioritize projects
Enjoy writing
Self-motivation, critical thinking, and creativity
Ability to learn and effectively utilize computer software, including Westlaw, Microsoft 365, and Adobe Acrobat
