Responsibilities:
- Review reports submitted by law enforcement to determine if/what criminal charges should be filed.
- Handle criminal cases from inception to trial
- Appear in court to handle routine docket calls, bond hearings, probation violations/revocation hearings, as well as bench/ jury trials.
- Draft, file and argue motions
- Communicate with victims and witnesses
- Attend depositions
- Serve as on-call prosecutor on a rotating schedule to handle after hour filings and search warrants requests.
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctorate (JD) degree from ABA-accredited law school;
- Valid license to practice law in Missouri (or anticipate having a valid license upon completed bar exam) ;
- Must have valid driver’s license and vehicle insurance;
- Must be able to work independently as well as collaborate with co-workers, law enforcement, clerks and judges;
- Six years’ experience handling criminal matters. Prosecution experience preferred;
- Familiarity with case management system “Karpel” is preferred, but not required.

- Salary is commensurate with experience;
