Missouri State University School of Accountancy, which is separately accredited by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business, invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor, tenure-track Associate Professor, or Clinical Assistant Professor position, commencing Fall 2026.

We will post an Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, and Clinical Assistant Professor, only one position will be filled.

The successful candidate will teach at the undergraduate and graduate level in tax accounting or financial accounting.

The teaching modalities may include online, blended, or face to face.

Candidates for the Assistant Professor, Accounting position must hold a PhD in Accounting or Business Administration from an AACSB accredited institution with an emphasis in an accounting related field, OR a JD from an ABA accredited law school with appropriate academic preparation in taxation such as an LLM in taxation, OR a master's in taxation from an AACSB accredited institution. Candidates who are ABD at time of application will be considered, but only if in a position to successfully defend their dissertation by the date of employment. Candidates for the Associate Professor, Accounting position must meet the same academic qualifications as an Assistant Professor. Candidates for the Clinical Assistant Professor, Accounting position require a Master’s in Accounting or Business Administration from an AACSB-accredited institution with 18-graduate credit hours in accounting, OR a JD from an ABA accredited law school with appropriate academic preparation in taxation such as an LLM in taxation, OR a master's in taxation from an AACSB accredited institution. Candidates must also have 5+ years of professional accounting related experience ending at a supervisory level and an accounting certification.
