In addition, we advocate for consumers in a wide range of federal litigation, including cases under the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA), Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA), Electronic Fund Transfer Act (EFTA), and other related statutes.

Position Overview:
We are seeking a motivated Associate Attorney to join our team. The ideal candidate will be licensed in Missouri and Kansas and passionate about consumer protection litigation. This role offers extensive experience in state court litigation, with a primary focus on consumer protection matters. You’ll have the opportunity to represent clients directly, appear regularly in court, and build litigation skills in a high-impact, client-centered practice.

Responsibilities:
• Represent clients in state debt collection defense and federal consumer protection litigation
• Draft pleadings, motions, discovery, and legal correspondence
• Conduct legal research and develop case strategies
• Appear for court hearings, depositions, and trials (virtual and in-person) throughout the Greater Kansas City Area
• Advise clients throughout the life cycle of their case, from the initial intake consultation to resolution and post-disposition
• Work collaboratively to identify and pursue emerging consumer protection claims

Qualifications:
• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school
• Licensed to practice law in Missouri with the ability to waive into Kansas (dual licensure strongly preferred)
• Strong interest or experience in consumer protection, bankruptcy, or litigation
• Excellent legal writing and oral advocacy skills
