Knight Nicastro MacKay is seeking an entry-level 2025 law school graduate with an interest in litigation.

Associate attorneys will be exposed to a variety of cases and obtain experience litigating cases, participating in depositions, court appearances, and trial prep.

The ideal candidate would have 0-3 years of experience in personal injury and/or insurance defense and would have experience managing cases from beginning to end. Some travel is required, and all qualified candidates must be licensed to practice in Missouri and/or Kansas.

Responsibilities
•Manage a caseload of complex civil litigation matters
•Conduct legal research, drafting pleadings, motions, and other legal documents
•Represent clients in hearings, trials, and other legal proceedings
•Well-versed in all types of litigation defense practices.
•Handle all aspects of cases assigned to them, from the inception of the matter to defending the case before a jury.
•Direct client contact and opportunities to market your skills and capabilities for additional work.
•You will collaborate with other accomplished lawyers in your office and across the firm, managing multiple cases at a time.

Requirements:
•License to practice law in Kansas and/or Missouri, Illinois (a plus)
•Litigation or trial experience (0-3 years)
•Excellent verbal communication and negotiation skills
•Excellent writing skills
