Missouri Office of Prosecution Services is seeking a full-time CRU Attorney to investigate convictions obtained by the State of Missouri for credible claims of actual innocence.
Conviction review is a specialized process that involves the following specific duties:
• Conducting a thorough review of the trial transcript, trial exhibits, files, records, evidence, and testimony in these cases;
• Determining acts and sources of any intentional or unintentional wrongdoing in the development and prosecution of these cases;
• Testing the validity of evidence (e.g., analyzing chains of custody);
• Investigating potential constitutional violations, such as Brady violations (failure to disclose exculpatory evidence);
• Performing tasks as specified in Section 547.500, RSMo, and
• Performing other tasks that may be assigned as needed to complete the postconviction review process.
The salary range is $85,000 to $95,000 based on experience.

Successful completion of a background check is required. This is an at-will position that serves at the pleasure of the Missouri Office of Prosecution Services Director.
