Missouri license in good standing required.

Minimum of one to three (1 to 3) years of experience preferred, but willing to invest in the training of a recent law school graduate or those without family law experience who illustrate a passion for and interest in family law.

Responsibilities would include:
• Assist with litigation tasks such as drafting motions, conducting depositions and discovery, and preparing for trial
• Conduct legal research to support cases and legal proceedings
• Draft and prepare legal documents, including briefs, memoranda, and pleadings
• Assist in the negotiation of settlements and agreements on behalf of client
• Provide legal advice and guidance to clients
• Collaborate with firm partners and paralegals to develop case strategies
• Attend court hearings and represent clients in various legal proceedings
• Manage and prioritize multiple cases simultaneously
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date case files


Skills:
• Strong knowledge of legal research tools such as Westlaw and Lexis-Nexis
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Proficient in legal drafting and document preparation
• Ability to analyze complex legal issues and provide sound advice
• Strong negotiation skills to achieve favorable outcomes for clients
• Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment
• Strong problem-solving and critical thinking abilities


Qualifications:
• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school
• Admitted to practice law in the State of Missouri Required
• Previous experience working as an associate attorney or in a similar role is preferred but not required
