Key Responsibilities:
-Represent St. Louis Survivors Legal Support (SLSLS) clients who share children with their abusers in their Order of Protection cases and in their companion custody proceedings.
-Prepare pleadings, motions, and other court filings.
-Advocate for clients in court, ensuring their voices are heard and their safety prioritized.
-Collaborate with SLSLS staff and partners to provide holistic support to survivors.
-Maintain accurate case files and data for grant reporting and compliance.
Qualifications:
-J.D. from an accredited law school; admission to the Missouri Bar.
-Family law or litigation experience is preferred but not required. SLSLS provides top-notch on-the-job mentoring by seasoned attorneys.
-Strong commitment to serving survivors of intimate partner violence.
-Excellent oral advocacy, writing, and organizational skills.
-Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a mission-driven environment.
Compensation & Benefits:
-Salary: $82,000 annually
