Norris Keplinger Hicks & Welder, LLC seeking a skilled and experienced Litigation Attorney to join our team.

The ideal candidate will represent clients (plaintiffs or defendants) in civil disputes, managing cases from initial investigation through discovery, motion practice, negotiation, trial, and appeals.

This role requires strong advocacy skills, attention to detail, and the ability to develop effective case strategies in a fast-paced environment. The attorney will handle a caseload of civil litigation matters, such as commercial disputes, personal injury, contract claims, employment issues, or other civil matters. 

Experience: two to seven plus (2–7+) years of civil litigation experience (entry-level/mid-level associate to senior attorney roles vary; trial experience strongly preferred). Specific practice area experience (e.g., commercial, toxic tort, personal injury) may be required depending on the position.

Qualifications and Requirements

Education: Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an ABA-accredited law school.
Licensure: Active membership in good standing with the state bar (specific state required; multi-jurisdictional admission preferred).
Experience: 2–7+ years of civil litigation experience (entry-level/mid-level associate to senior attorney roles vary; trial experience strongly preferred). Specific practice area experience (e.g., commercial, toxic tort, personal injury) may be required depending on the position.

Skills:
Excellent written and oral communication, including persuasive advocacy and the ability to explain complex legal concepts clearly.
Strong analytical, research, and critical-thinking abilities.
Proficiency in legal research tools (e.g., Westlaw, LexisNexis), e-discovery platforms, and Microsoft Office (or equivalent).
Superior organizational and time-management skills to handle multiple deadlines.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team under pressure.
