Job responsibilities are representing the State of Missouri and the Citizens of Butler County in all types of criminal cases. Specific tasks include reviewing misdemeanor and felony cases, filing criminal charges and drafting motions, handling associate and circuit law days, as well as conducting trials.

Compensation includes a salary to be determined based on experience but not less than $65,000 per year, health insurance, retirement, as well as paid holidays, vacation, and training.

Applicant must be a member of the Missouri Bar and in good standing or an applicant for the bar exam awaiting results. 

The position is full-time and is available, June 1st, 2026.
