Travis Lorance
My name is Travis Lorance and I am a Deputy Sheriff with the Boone County Sheriff’s Office out of Columbia, Mo. I’m an Illinois native and in 2014, I decided to move to Missouri. I attended The Law Enforcement Training Institute at the University of Missouri and pursued my passion for public service.
I began my career in our detention facility as a commissioned Deputy. During my time, I became a training officer, defensive tactics instructor, and a member of the crisis intervention team.
In 2017, I transferred to the enforcement branch as a patrol deputy. Over the last seven years, I’ve been assigned units such as violent crimes task force and professional development unit. I am currently the crisis intervention team liaison for the Boone County and a crisis/hostage negotiator.
Though I enjoy my highly eventful and rewarding career, my most important roles are being a girl dad and husband. Some of my favorite hobbies include traveling, hunting, and working on my less than mediocre golf game.
