MoBarCLE Speaker Resources
Welcome to the MoBarCLE Speaker Resources Webpage!
MoBarCLE provides quality continuing legal education programming to Missouri attorneys through the support and dedication of many volunteers. Our members act as moderators and speakers at programs held throughout the state. The commitment and participation of our volunteers is vital to our success in providing the best educational opportunities possible for our members.
Why should you volunteer?
- The rewarding feeling of sharing knowledge
Remember when you were first learning about an area of the law and you wish you had someone skilled and knowledgeable to ask for advice? As a volunteer presenter, you can be that mentor to someone else. You have great experiences to share, why not do so with those who need it the most – other interested attorneys.
- Professional development – another gold star for the resume or bio
Identifying yourself as a presenter for a Missouri Bar program indicates to others that you are experienced in your area of practice and have risen to the top of the profession. Adding Missouri Bar presenter to your bio is a sure way to impress your colleagues and clients.
- CLE credit for preparation and presentation
Missouri Supreme Court Regulation 15.05 allows for speakers to receive MCLE credit for presenting at CLE programs, as well as for the time it takes to prepare for the presentation. Similarly, moderators receive credit for the time they are present at a program.
How can you help?
MoBarCLE is always looking for volunteers to serve as the following:
- Moderators – Make speaker introductions and keep the program progressing on time
- Speakers – Provide substantive continuing legal education presentations and submit course materials for programs
- Authors and reviewers - Help author or review our MoBarCLE publications
