Lawyer-to-Lawyer Dispute Resolution Committee

The Missouri Bar Board of Governors is seeking applications from members of The Missouri Bar for two appointments to the Lawyer-to-Lawyer Dispute Resolution Committee, for five-year terms beginning on Feb. 1, 2024, and expiring on Jan. 31, 2028. All members of The Missouri Bar in good standing are eligible to apply.

The five-member Lawyer-to-Lawyer Dispute Resolution Committee administers the Lawyer-to Lawyer Dispute Resolution Program. Operating under Supreme Court Rule 7.16, this program offers a mediation-like process and binding arbitration to resolve disputes between lawyers over money and property issues, as well as complaints about professionalism. Missouri Bar members serve as volunteer facilitators, making it possible to offer this member service free-of-charge to Missouri lawyers.

Each member of the Lawyer-to-Lawyer Dispute Resolution Committee serves a four-year term, for a maximum of two successive terms. For additional information about this dispute program resolution, go to MoBar.org/site/content/Lawyer-Resources/Lawyer-to-Lawyer_Dispute_Resolution_Program.aspx.
