Board Elections

Nominating petitions for vacancies on The Missouri Bar Board of Governors are due no later than June 20. District and Appellate District Board petitions must be signed by a minimum of 10 Missouri Bar members who are in good standing, enrolled and entitled to vote in the respective district. 

 

Jan. 1, 2020

First day for members of The Missouri Bar seeking election to the Board of Governors to submit nominating petitions to the Clerk of the Supreme Court of Missouri. Nominating petitions for the Board of Governors must be signed by not less than 10 members of The Missouri Bar enrolled in good standing and entitled to vote for the person nominated.
June 20, 2020
Final date for members of The Missouri Bar seeking election to the Board of Governors to submit nominating petitions to the Clerk of the Supreme Court of Missouri.
July 20, 2020
Final date for the Clerk of the Supreme Court of Missouri to send notification and voting information to all lawyers eligible to vote in the election.
Aug. 15-31, 2020
Votes are canvassed on a date specified by the Supreme Court of Missouri.
Aug. 15-31, 2020
Elections results are certified and announced.
Sept. 18, 2020
Terms of office for newly elected or re-elected members of the Board of Governors commence with the adjournment of the Annual Meeting of The Missouri Bar.
