FineLine HR Consulting, LLC is seeking a mid-level contract attorney with approximately five (5) or more years of experience in labor and employment law who is a dynamic, organized, self-starter to investigate highly sensitive workplace or school claims as an external investigator.

Basic qualifications include:

Active admission (in good standing) to State Bar
Five (5) or more years of experience as a practicing attorney in labor and employment law
Experience in conducting or overseeing workplace or school investigations
Strong writing skills
Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well with people at every level of an organization
Must have an inquisitive, analytical nature while being able to neutrally and fairly evaluate witness credibility and documents and other materials provided
Technically proficient in document editing and document management (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite and SharePoint)
Knowledge of current events, bias, and discrimination issues

Primary responsibilities include:
Demonstrating objectivity and impartiality
Schedule and and conduct interviews with complainants, respondents, and witnesses
Collect and organize analyze documents or other information relevant to the investigation
Write well-organized and clear summaries of interviews
Analyze and write well-reasoned findings
Proactively communicate with FineLine and clients regarding various case logistics
Maintain positive client relationships
Prepare reports to submit for client review
Independently manage case work
Maintain consistent communication, responsiveness and be punctual with firm and clients
Promptly perform Firm-related administrative functions (e.g., time-keeping)
