Scott County, Missouri Prosecuting Attorney is seeking applications for an open position as an assistant prosecuting attorney. The APA will be responsible for preparing and attending dockets, managing cases from inception to disposition, and trying cases. New graduates are welcome to apply. Scott County sees a lot of jury trials so the APA will have an excellent opportunity to learn and gain experience. For those unfamiliar with the area, Benton is located just a few miles south of Cape Girardeau, Missouri.

Starting salary is $75,000.00; salary may be negotiable at the discretion of the prosecuting attorney.

Rule 13 students are also welcome to apply; the Rule 13 will receive a stipend in exchange for hours worked. These matters shall be determined by the prosecuting attorney.
