Sponsors' guide to online system
MCLE program sponsors have a dedicated page from which they may create a sponsor account, submit programs, access a certificate of attendance template, and find helpful information. Accredited sponsors may also submit annual reports from this page. This online platform has been designed to make your job as a CLE sponsor easier and more efficient. The Missouri Bar’s MCLE Department is here to answer your questions and to be of service in any way possible.
Sponsor Account: Program sponsors that have not previously utilized the online system to submit MCLE programs, including those with accredited status, will need to create a sponsor account prior to doing so. The sponsor account will be used to access the system any time that a program is submitted and will tie submitted programs to the sponsor.

Once a sponsor account has been created, the sponsor will receive email confirmation of the account’s creation, as well as a record of the username and password. The username will be the Sponsor ID number that is assigned to your account.
Submission of Programs: Once logged into a sponsor account, the designated user may access and submit a program accreditation request form by clicking on the
Request Program Accreditation or Search for Existing Programs link on the right-hand side of the page.
Each program submission will be reviewed by the MCLE Department, so it is important to include all of the information necessary to determine whether the program qualifies for the credit and hours for which it was submitted. This includes date(s), starting/ending times, speaker name(s), program materials, and a TIMED AGENDA. It is not possible to determine whether a program qualifies for the credit hours requested unless a sponsor submits information indicating how long the program will last. Please note that lack of appropriate information may result in the denial of a program and ultimate delay in getting the program approved.
Once a program is approved, the sponsor will receive an email with several important pieces of information:
CREDIT TYPE AND HOURS: The program email will provide a table containing both the hours requested for the program and those ultimately approved, as well as the type(s) of CLE credit.
INSTRUCTIONS FOR RECONSIDERATION: If the program was not granted as many hours as requested, not approved for the type of CLE credit applied for, or denied, the program email will also provide instructions for resubmitting the program for reconsideration.
PROGRAM ID NUMBER: Finally, the program email will provide a Program ID number. This number can be utilized in many ways to the benefit of both sponsors and program attendees.
When attendees report attendance at a CLE program, this is the form they will use to search for the program within the MCLE reporting platform:
If attendees search by the Program ID number, they are using a unique number, generated specifically for the sponsor’s program, that will generate a search result with only that program listed. Program attendees can also search by the name of the sponsor, which will generate a search result listing all of the programs submitted from a given sponsor for the year, or by a date range, which will generate a search result with every CLE program submitted and accredited within that time period. It is helpful for attendees to be able to utilize the Program ID number to quickly and efficiently locate the program attended. These numbers should be given to attendees on a certificate of attendance, provided at the CLE, or listed online with program materials.
Timely Submission of Programs - A Customer Service Issue: When attendees search for a program to report on their annual compliance report, they will only see programs submitted for accreditation by the sponsor. If a sponsor has not submitted the program, attendees must apply for individual attendance accreditation, which is an extra step in their reporting process and results in a delay while the program is reviewed for approval. Sponsors can provide valuable customer service to attendees by submitting programs throughout the year before they take place. Pursuant to Regulation 15.04.3(b), programs and activities should be submitted for accreditation 60 days prior to the date on which the program or activity is to occur.
Accredited sponsors are generally not required to request programming approval and are only required to submit programs to The Missouri Bar on an annual basis. However, if an accredited sponsor chooses to wait until the end of the reporting year, attendees will not be able to locate programs from that accredited sponsor when filing their annual compliance reports, requiring them to apply for individual accreditation of the program(s) attended. Again, accredited sponsors will save their customers time and energy in making sure that all programs are submitted for approval on a timely and regular basis.
