A welcome respite following the Annual Meeting’s plenary sessions, the Opening Luncheon gives lawyers and judges the opportunity to enjoy lunch, celebrate the profession, and hear an update on Missouri’s justice system.

At the heart of the luncheon is the “Chief Justice’s Address.” Chief Justice Mary R. Russell will provide the attendees with an update on issues facing the bench and bar.

This event will include the passing of the gavel from Missouri Bar President Lauren Tucker McCubbin of Kansas City to her successor, Megan Phillips of St. Louis.

The event will also feature recognition of this year’s class of Senior Counselors, those distinguished members who this year mark 50 years in practice or attainment of the age of 75 years. Their examples of leadership and service to their clients offer a legacy of professionalism for all who attend this luncheon.
