Receptions
Making and maintaining meaningful professional connections continues to be the foundation for a successful legal career, and the Annual Meeting (along with many affiliate organizations) builds in an abundance of opportunities for lawyers and judges – both planned and unplanned – throughout all the schedule of events and programs. This is especially true for the many social receptions designed for attendees to relax and meet up with old friends, make new ones, and enjoy the company of hundreds of lawyers and judges from across the state.
President’s and Chief Justice’s Opening Night Reception

The Annual Meeting’s well-known design for attendees to cultivate connections and feel the camaraderie of fellow legal professionals begins with the warm welcome of the opening reception. Hundreds of lawyers and judges will indulge in delicious hors d’oeuvres and a host of beverage choices all in a relaxed, casual setting.
In addition, the reception’s 8 p.m. conclusion leaves plenty of time to continue an enjoyable evening or meal at any of Kansas City's many venues.

For many of those not ready to call it a night after the Best of Missouri, the Young Lawyers’ Section of The Missouri Bar always sponsors one of the most popular post-Best of Missouri events for those interested in continuing the evening’s fun. This year's event will be held at Society, one of KC's newest venues in the Crossroads district.
