A welcome respite following the Annual Meeting’s plenary sessions, the Opening Luncheon gives lawyers and judges the opportunity to enjoy lunch, celebrate the profession, and hear an update on Missouri’s justice system.
At the heart of the luncheon is the “Chief Justice’s Address” delivered by the Hon. Paul C. Wilson, chief justice of the Supreme Court of Missouri. Hon. Wilson is expected to provide the attendees with an update on issues facing the bench and bar.
In addition, the luncheon will include a presentation of the “President’s Award” to individuals who have made particularly noteworthy contributions to the work of The Missouri Bar during the past year.
This event will also include the passing of the gavel from Missouri Bar President John Grimm of Cape Girardeau to his successor, Lauren Tucker McCubbin of Kansas City.
The event will also feature recognition of this year’s class of Senior Counselors, those distinguished members who this year mark 50 years in practice or attainment of the age of 75 years.
